Can the physical debit cards be made out of recycled plastic or other eco-friendly materials?

Yes.

This option is available in a Custom plan only (additional card fees will apply). The standard cards available in the other plans are made from PVC plastic, similar to what you would receive from any major U.S. bank.

Here are the options available for customers looking for more eco-friendly card materials:

Recycled PVC Cards: Cards made with up to 98% upcycled plastic (depending on the design) from post-industrial materials that might have otherwise entered a landfill.
Ocean Bound Cards: Card cores made with recovered ocean-bound plastic.
