We do not recommend sending a wire to the account. There are a few reasons for this:
1. Cost: some banks charge up to $40 to send a Fed wire transfer. Sending an ACH is included in any fees you may pay Hydrogen. We only require $1,000 to be sent to the reserve account to start a program for the vast majority of customers.
2. Tracking: we provide an admin tracking dashboard for all ACH transfers. If you send a wire transfer, there will be no way for us to track the transfer and ensure it properly gets credited to your account.
We only recommend using a wire transfer if your bank account cannot be linked in our system to initiate an ACH. If you intend to send a wire, please let your customer success rep know.
