Consumer Cards
The end cardholder will be required to complete the KYC onboarding each time they want to create a card (even if they have successfully completed it the first time), and they will have to use unique email addresses in the onboarding for each card. These are sponsor bank rules that we cannot change. We need to comply with the U.S. Patriot Act and other AML laws.
Business Cards
Unlike the consumer cards use case, when issuing a business card (e.g. for B2B payables), KYC is typically not required (because the business has already passed through KYC when creating a Hydrogen account). If the business card is a single load only virtual card, you can create as many unique cards as you wish for each payment, up to the maximum value allowed on the card. If you desire to to assign multiple users to the card, you can do that through our Card Admin.
