It is partially white labeled. All users that link accounts will see the following popup window:
Users must verify they have read the MX (our open banking partner) privacy policy before continuing. We cannot change this screen.
On the next screen, the user will be given a menu of 15,000 financial institutions to search:
Non-OAuth Connections
There are over 15,000 institutions that are not connected through OAuth by MX - e.g. most regional banks and credit unions. Your users will connect directly to them and never see Hydrogen's name, as shown below:
These connections can take a few minutes to process and can frequently fail, because they are not directly integrated.
OAuth Connections
There are 7 institutions on the OAuth connection standard, meaning there is a direct integration into them from MX. This makes the connection over 50% faster for your users. These are:
- JP Morgan Chase
- Capital One
- USAA
- Wells Fargo
- Citi
- US Bank
- Charles Schwab
These institutions should cover about 50%-75% of the customers you onboard. If a customer uses any of the institutions listed above, they will be taken to a new window and see Hydrogen's branding, as shown below:
If you have signed up for a challenger banking app, you are familiar with this workflow. The customer authenticates on the third-party site and then is re-directed back to the Hydrogen component or white label app. Once the connection is complete, they will receive an email from the institution that looks something like the following:
We are able to white label these screens (where it says "Hydrogen Technology Corporation") for our customers, but it requires individual approval from the banks listed above. This takes at least 4-6 weeks to get approved. Thus, we only offer this option if you upgrade to the Transform pricing plan.
If you are not in the Transform pricing plan, please notify your customers in your FAQ who Hydrogen Technology Corporation and MX are, so they are not alarmed.
